Parkland Community Annual Clean-up Day

We are scheduled to have our 12th Annual Clean-up Day this year. It will run from 9 AM until 1:30 PM on Sunday, September 18th. So please check back in September for any updates to these instructions in the community newsletter or at Parkland websites.

At this time we will be accepting:

·       Refundable beverage containers. The proceeds will go to Parkland Cares.

·       Black bin garbage including baby car seats, mattresses, painted and stained wood (no railway ties), etc. This is handled by The City of Calgary dump trucks.

·       Metal (except for propane tanks and appliances containing Freon).  To save us time and space, please empty your lawn mowers, breakdown your BBQs, and lawn chairs.

·       Old electronics including TVs, monitors, telephones, cell phones, computers, laptops, keyboards, and wiring.  Please see Shanked Computer Recycling What Electronics We Recycle - Shanked Computer Recycling Inc. (scri.ca) for more details.

·       Donations including bicycles, clothing, toys, and some small appliances.  Please see Cerebral Palsy https://www.cpalberta.com/donate-items for more details.

Some of the current City Restrictions include:

 ·        We cannot accept

Wet paint cans.

Tires.

Blue bin material.

·   We cannot process confidential shredding.

·        We cannot handle hazardous wastes including chemicals, or appliances that contain FREON.

·        There will be no take and leave tables.
